Yea congrats on that swap. I am looking at how you are running the ecu? I know how to swap everything in an I have learned how to run the lines. The wiring is the only thing I am having problems with. Are you running stand alone or the just the regular ecu?

Just a thought, has anyone thought about putting the whole TL engine and tranny in our cars?

What series engine is it?

Talking about the new engines or the old ones?

Old ones are

tl/cl - J32a1
Tl type s/cl Type s - j32a2

not sure what the new j series is called

The third gen TL's. The motor and tranny I was referring to was from the A-Spec.

The new TL's have a J32A3 engine, not the J32A2.

I see your car is coming along quite nicely and much quicker then what I was told was originally expected. I love the work they did on those mounts of yours

Soon you'll see my car there too

Sorry for the lack of updates I am working full time now and dont have much time for the car. I got the car running today but it mis fires like crazy i will have to mess with it tomorrow. Here are some pics of the progress.
Tranny and engine in car:

Lots of wires, I am taking a lot of pictures and notes so that i can write up good instructions.

Prototype harness and module, looks that the 25 I/O arent enough and it will have to move up to a 37 pin connector.

custom bracket.

I seem hit a little snag with the speedometer. It turns out the the different ratio on the 6 speed makes the speedo read 15% slow. Blah and i was wondering why everyione was driving so slow. I am already working on a fix but it will take a little time, i'll have new parts in by the end of the week.
stay tuned for the vids ill upload them soon.

If you did come out with a kit would you have the tranny also or would we have to find one? I have found a few but its hard to get a hold of one and they are to expensive new.

Will this wiring work with the cl-s motor and tranny, or just for the cl-s tranny to av6 motor?

btw, great job!

nope just the av6. if you have the cl-s motor and 6 speed you should just do the full conversion with cl-s ecu.
