deadly interested in this swap too.
called around today and got quotes of 4k-6k.
almost all of them tried to talk me out of it saying it wasnt advised.
my other option is an 03 IS300 for 18k. i rather keep the honda and slap a 6spd in it.

do we have a final word on the practicality of the car after the swap?

get a new clutch, well worth the 300 bucks. ummm without my circuitry you wont be able to get speedo or vtec. if you could wait till early spring i should have everything set. right now i need to work on my senior design project (boost controller) if i don't get it done i delay graduating.

or you can drive the car without speedo and vtec for a while like i did.

Do not use the Comptech flywheel and the pulleys together! Its either or, otherwise its just too much and a bunch of people on Acurazine have had problems with the flywheel. Your basically removing 26lbs off the crank by using both. Just do the pulleys they take off about 7lbs.

just a curious question..why can you remove 7 or 19 lbs, but you can't remove 26 lbs.?

No one is 100% sure but it had to do with that whole resonating and fatique issue where there was just not enough dampening for the engine with both items installed.

Thats pretty much what happened to allmotor_2000 on acurazine.com

I guess theres just a point when its too much or in ths case too little

im actually picking up all new parts from dealers and from riceboydrew. so everything will be new. why doesnt the speedo and vtec work. can i put a vafc2 in my car b/c i have one but not installed yet and wont that correct the vtec problem. do you put the auto trans in 1st gear before it was disconected and removed???? b/c a buddy did an auto rsx to manual swap and he left if in park and he did have vtec until he went standalone. but he decided to reinstall auto and put in a drive gear and then disconnected and redid swap. now hes got vtec but all his trans lights are on, still drives okay. thanks again for the help, if you can pm me info on how to go about correcting this problem quicker then let me know.
ps. i dont think anybody doesnt want you not to graduate, the quicker that happens the quicker these kits get done. congrats again on ur 6spd swap and good luck on your senior design project.

I actually bought the 6spd tranny almost 2 years ago, and my dumb broke ass still hasn't installed it, but my car will be paid off next week, so i'll start putting money back into it. time to do some investigating on purchasing the '03 V6 CL type S motor and everything else i need for the conversion. fun stuff.

wow 6 speed.....i think i'm going to.... hey what about an LSD for this set-up? i've read that getting the tires to hook up when you trying to race can be a real pain.

Hey Richie,

I want the whole kit as well once you have everything worked out, it would be nice know how much will the kit cost, spring is just around the corner and for what it seems already there's a lot of people interested in this, maybe you or the moderator of this forum should make this thread a sticky, let me know and please post an update.

Im letting you guys know that the parts list to adapt the J32 that came with an auto to begin with in order to adapt it to the 6spd and its ECU is more extensive and costly then you might imagine.

Still coding on my spare time, i have the code running but it is only stable to 130mph then it spazes out. I know thats really fast but someone is gonna try it. Still shooting for spring for the harness to be done. For those that PM me with one sentence asking me "how do it swap in the 6 speed tranny" please do a search.

are you just going to be selling the harness or the whole kit? As in the whole 6spd transmission, pedals, harness...etc. ?

Im seriously interested if you provide full kit, because I wouldn't even know where to even get the transmission. Anyway, update me on your progress.
