Tuning the Hybrid

Is this possible? I know it was limited production, and that finding someone who can do it may be nearly impossible, but I would really like to be able to tune one of these if I get one, as I'm aimed towards performance.

If your aim is for performance just don't get a hybrid

You really want to tune an automatic hybrid? That's pretty weak. A 6-6 sedan with a blower on deck is what you need.

I'm determined to make a powerhouse out of 1 of these hybrids. I just want to know if there's anywhere that could tune it after a turbo. I read somewhere on these forums that it'd be better to turbo it.

& why is it weak? Obviously, the automatic's a setback, but it can be built to handle the tq I assume. Also, there are 2 different systems to mod. I think these things really have potential if you work at it.

Also, if I don't end up getting a HAH, I'll just keep my DSM, because that thing is powerful. I chose the hybrid specifically for numerous reasons, & if I just got a regular accord, I'd be very disappointed.

new NSX is a hybrid AT/paddle. nothing wrong with tuning your car. just look at the CRZ. bisi slapped a turbo and it made 500whp

Y not?

why not tune up for per formance a hybrid? My 06 hybrid still has the V6 in it, so if the mechanical engine is tuned up for better performance, shouldn't it perform a lot better all around?

the auto trans is more then a setback, they can barely hold the power they come with stock, let alone a power adder like a turbo.

Honestly, it depends where you're looking at for total hp/power, and what your dollar amount is to spend on this car.

Autos can hold, if you do it right, on the right year, with the right gear.
