Good choice IMHO. Just don't go assuming that someone on here who sells a lot of products is passing word onto these companies about your designs. That's a bit naive considering Eibach, Comptech, Unichip, Racing Brakes, Tire rack and many other manufacturers frequent this site. It's more likely than not that someone from P2K or Fastbrake has been here fishing for your designs. A simple Google word search on this forum can quickly find your pictures..its that easy.
It's obvious the person who stole the design went on here. I know for a fact he's been on here. A lot of people on here have organized a group buy with this person. So i'm sure the link v6performance.net has been given to him countless times. And if he was smart, he would go on here to check out who all is planning to buy from him to get an idea of what and how many he kits he could be selling.

A lot of people on here and lurkers know what kind of work Paul has done for our 7th gens, and they will most likely continue to follow up on his work. Paul has many ideas to generate more options regarding performance and so forth on the 7th gens. Yea okay, "they" stole Paul's idea, but not once do i hear paul complaining about it. Paul simply stated he won't be posting any more pics and details, and that's how it should be from now on.

And for vendors: i do agree that they should get more leeway, because frankly they paid for it. If i was a vendor i would be PO if i was limited to what i could and couldn't do. With that being said, Paul hasn't been on this site to make money. Hell he's been on here for like 2 years giving his input, designs, ideas, and giving us 7th gen owners more options to choose from regarding performance. He has never said that he is trying to sell anything. Everyone who has dealt with Paul in an engine build or anything like that has come to Paul not because he asked them too, but because they knew he was the man that can build them what they want. He doesn't advertise anything, he simply makes a thread about the build. Yea that thread will draw interest for others, but he's not out there trying to sell anything. He does this, because he loves doing it.

Last but not least, I do thank you Dizzy and whoever else has been running this site for however long its been up. I know i've learned a lot on here and i'm sure everyone else has too. You act as if know one appreciates what you've done to keep this site going. So to the man behind the curtain running things, Big thanks.

LT, it's more about the Paul's comment of Dizzy "just getting paid." That's not even true. Contrary to obvious popular belief, Dizzy doesn't make piles of money from this site. Nor does any other admin or mod. When a comment like that is made, I'm sure it makes the people who run this site to just want to shut it down. And I don't blame them! There is no money in running a car site. This site was built for enthusiasts by enthusiasts. That's it.

I like Paul. I like Paul's work. He knows his sht, he's innovative, and doesn't half-ass anything he builds. But that comment he made was bullsht.

Paul and I discussed over PM as well. I clarified it wasn't necessarily his comment, but someone else's comment afterwards that set me off. We do appreciate his continued support and innovations on this site and hope he continues to contribute.

Just maybe without pics until he patents his designs first As I stated already, there are a LOT of lurkers on here and some are obviously doing some industrial espionage. Yes...I'll say it again Industrial Espionage because that's exactly what it is.

Is there a way to make the site where you have to log on to see what's going on or will that create more spam members? I don't know just an idea.

6th gen , probably but need to test on one, 14" rotors, if your wheels are big enough, probably 19" at least.

Depends on wheel design, right off you really need 40+ offset.

Hmm. Have been away from the board for a while.

I have worked with Brian from Fastbrakes on a few things and a GB and though I no longer have his BBK on my car (going another direction) I have always been pleased at his business integrity.

I am not in a position to defend him, but over the last few months we had investigated quite a few caliper options ranging from 4 pot LS400 calipers to monoblock LS430 calipers to 6 pot Porsche calipers to the RL calipers (yes - I have e-mails about RL calipers way before this post) and all to be used on the V6p's. In each of those cases someone somewhere had done the idea before on some other car.

Let me say that part again... the RL caliper on a Honda has been done SEVERAL times before... the fact that Paul ALSO took this idea from someone else (intentionally or not) in no way tarnishes the great work he did. Similarily, the fact that Fastbrakes has an RL caliper as well in no way tarnishes them. Its not like anyone just ordered the others part and straight up copied it. R&D was done on both sides, and it just happened to come out at the same time.

I for one think it is great for us as consumers. You get to pick your supplier based on price/reputation/whatever.
Congrats Paul on a great job, it looks great.
