I am now armed with the pinouts for the 08 TL, 05 TL and 05 AV6. Will be working on the conversion pinning and if that looks good will be aquiring a 08 ecu to test in my car.

As someone else stated, the older ECUs are made by Motorola and they WILL NOT GIVE ANYTHING TO ANYONE EVER without alot of money, the newer ecu is made by Denso who Hondata has a long relationship with. So we can send as many requests to Hondata as we want, but thier hands are tied by Motorola.

I've been running a TL S ecu in a 7th gen chassis for more than 2 years. There's alot of repinning and a few wires to add. It's easy to do for anyone who knows wiring. Just don't leave anything to guess cause you can risk frying the board putting power where it doesn't belong. With Hondata's release, jumper harnesses from other companies will follow suit in no time for the ecu conversion.

Update from doug (Flashpro)

"- Why wont this work for the 04-06 Acura TL?
The 07 Acura TL was the first TL to use the CAN programming protocol. This allows the ECU to be programmed in under 2 minutes and easily recover from programming mishaps such a drop in battery voltage or accidentally disconnecting the FlashPro during programming. The 04-06 TL ECUs take much longer to program (making them less suitable for dyno tuning) and are susceptible to damage rendering them unusable should the programming process be interrrupted"

Are there any additional sensors on the J35a8 that would make it difficult to use their ECU on the 7G? I'm also assuming the 07-08 Base TL ECU won't be compatible with the manual cars?

Then I'm Motorola's reckoning, here to end the borrowed time they've been making crappy phones on

The TL-s ecu has an additional ECT sensor, also a fuel pump module.. The fuel pump module is not needed. You should beable to remove the parameter out of the ecu with FlashPro. The temp sensor can be added with a buddy club adapter on the lower hose or TL-s radiator

Correct me if Im wrong, but why wouldnt the auto ECU work? If its getting everything re-written, then I dont see why it would matter. The manual tl-s basemap should essentially allow it to work. Then tweak the basemap for our cars better. Unless the inside of the auto/manual ECU is mechanically different...?

There are no parameters to tune it like that I'm guessing.

Then we better start working on that TL-S conversion harness. I figured they had little interest based off the responses they gave in the Acurazine thread. Many smart people in our community, it should not take very long.

Actually the 7.5 gen came with the second ECT in the thermo housing. Part 7 has a threaded bung for the sensor.

WATER PUMP - SENSOR (V6) 2006 HONDA ACCORD Parts 2DR EX (V6) KA6MT - Genuine OEM HONDA Parts

At guys are screwed yet again, the 07-08 AT has 4 shift control solinoids vs the 3 the 7th gen and 3rd gen TL have. To make matters worse you can't just throw the newer AT in , the engine bell housing pattern is very different so you would also need the 07-08 engine to go with it.

But MT looks pretty damn doable now that I have looked at the diagrams and researched the ther subsystems.

Keit, you are running without the FPCM?

Yeah I'm running without it. All it does is control low mode for idle cold start. It's for emissions. Without it the pump runs on high like what the 7th gens do already

Most race cars remove it, STIs etc.
