^^ Interesting. I actually threw some stop leak into the radiator, it leaked for another couple weeks and then stopped. It's been cool out so not sure if that plays a roll or not....We will see. I can swap water pumps in a few hours, easy peasy

Been neglecting my 6-6 lately. Blew my second motor on my Zx10 (Spun bearing) so rebuilding that. Going to break out my J37 heads and get started on my J32 build. Already have the block prepped, just need to do top end. I may venture into a runner set up for direct port nitrous, not sure.

Who's still active on here that I use to buddy up with? Sonnick, Simone.... Anyone?? LOL

Think this exhaust would mount? It's for the 4cyl, hangers don't look to be in the same position

It's cheap enough you could mod it.

Got my Flex pipe fixed!. All other shops were $130 for just the flex. The shop I went to did the flex pipe, cut and turned the low flange (Tsudo needs that done and they first guy had the point towards the ground), fixed some bolts and all welds for $80.

So for the gains we'd like to see... maybe 7.5 kw? Probably coulda worked for strip but thats about it.

I would run dual Silverado kits. Should work?

It'd work, but it'd also cost more than a regular turbo kit (2k a piece IIRC)

Would be hilarious on the old DTB mani though. direct mount to the mani, cut two holes in the hood for giant cone filters to pop through.
You would need to house 4 batteries though for that kit to work, on top of the regular battery. Even if these are the gokart size batteries thats a lot of volume to fit under the hood.

I thought of that, but I'm not totally sure that would work from demands. I mean if you're running 2 of the 4.5kw engines, that's 10 kw that needs to be transferred pretty damn fast to prevent... electrical turbo lag?? To put that through one wire is almost 500 amps. There's not even a wire size for that.

You could possibly use 3x 0 gauge, but thats a lot of wire, and not cheap. Not to mention that if you were to have a short somewhere in the system at any time there would be 10kW welding away at your short.

or you could just run a 1/2" x 1" pure copper busbar all the way up there, somehow.

Just checked into the risky alternative I always love in spots like this,

I could make a 8x7x4 lipo pack with 40aH, at 29.6 (system actually charges to 28.8 ish not 24), capable of delivering a constant 400 amps. Same specs as the options they offer, just a whole lot smaller and lighter.

Personally i'd bump up and go to a 60 aH version, able to do 600a, at a form factor of 8x11.5x4, just to keep the cells safer, need less time between pulls, and fit in juuuust about the same spot as the stock battery tray. Then just move the car battery to the back.

Oh, and those amperage deliveries double in 10 second pulses to 800a and 1200a respectively. That tiny little 10kw charge won't overdraw the second pack setup no matter what happens.

as a side note... I just found a lipo pack that's about 8x3.5x2, with 20 aH in it, at 14.8v, able of delivering 200a continuous and 400a burst for 85$ at a weight of 1.6kg. Out of the box plug and play, no wiring **** together

Additionally, with two chargers you have to consider draining your primary battery twice as fast. The built in charger draws can charge at 300w, so two of them would charge 600w. Assuming no losses this is drawing 50a on your stock 80a alternator power. Usually 30a minimum is recommended for a car to keep it charging and lights not flickering when speccing alternators for a huge sound system. You'd at minimum want to upgrade to the oddessy alternator for 110a.

Alternatively you could upgrade to my alt that does 110a at idle, 220a at full load, meaning you could add the two chargers, run your car, and add an additional balance charger for all 4 lipos to keep them healthy that draws 80a and can charge a total of 1.6kw of power at one time. This means you would be able to do a ~15 second pull, wait 1 min 45 seconds, and do another 15 second pull, with maximum turbo voltage.

:-) sounds fun, considering the 2 chargers can push 800 cfm, which should feed our engine correctly with any boost it can produce.
