Okay updated again. I am not going to bother with the j35a7 since it looks like you need to swap in different cylinder heads or figure out a way to disable vcm

gerzand,
So, to build j36 i need j35a6 block. Right, and all (sensors, transmission are the same?)
J35a6 and j32a3 are the same block.
In Russia i can find only j35a6 or j35a8 block

It is the same general block layout. I have not checked the intermediate (axle) shaft bolt pattern, but yes the bell housing should match up based on what thisaznboi88 was shown by his friend who used it, and what I subsequently researched and found photo evidence of (from many ebay engine auctions online currently).

I think there is a great chance that it will work... but you can check for your own proof regarding the intermediate shaft.

If you use everything off of the accord it should match up. He did have to change the coolant crossover pipe and themo stat housing to the accord because it was different

You will need to evaluate the condition of the cylinder walls to see if a hone will be sufficient. Also, please have it cleaned lol.

you will need a j37 crankshaft/ j37 rods / and j32/j35 pistons but no issues aside from figuring out all of the bearing and piston ring clearances!

Or bore it to 90mm and make a j37!

I have j37 from zdx rods and crankshaft, TB and IM, and J35a8 heads and pistons. Now i should decide. Build only j33, or buy this block and build j36.
If this block the same as j32a3, it will be great =)

He is saying to start your own thread rather than using a thread hoping to be a sticky.

The block works. I just posted a picture of it on my friend car. The only difference is the compression ratio, but since you are using different piston it should not be a problem

Borrowed from Paul

belt housing part number to get it to fit j35a8 block 21000-RAT-305

J32a3 version 1 2004-2005 direct drop in and has LSD for motor J30A4, J30A5, and J32a3 version 1
Can we clarify this section?

21000-RAT-305 is the bell housing required to mount any 7th gen Honda/3rd gen TL manual transmission to the J30 and J32A3 04-06 engine blocks.

21000-RDE-305 is the bell housing required to mount any 7th gen Honda/3rd gen TL manual transmission to the J32A3 07-08 engines, the 05-08 RL J35A8, and the 07-08 TLs J35A8 engines.

Can someone check my work? Or am I misunderstanding what you posted Ken?

Just a FYI for all, NEVER buy a block without the original bearing caps. The bearing caps and block a line bored/honed at the factory as a "matched" set, using bearing caps from a different block will be "bad" as they will not be matched and can end you up with all kinds of bearing clearance issues....
