roger, i didn't know you were using a CAI with the SC. did you custom fab the CAI? I was thinking about just cutting one and hooking it up with the plastic elbows that connect the icebox. seems like it'll work if i can somehow mount the CAI.

i had the eibach bar and it was a great strut bar especially for looks. But i think my neuspeed design is better. The 1-piece design of the neuspeed is stronger and makes the chassis stiffer than the eibach. But i still miss my eibach, great bar, and i hope the new owner takes good care of it.

i think the best strut bar as far as look and functionality is Comptech. it's expensive for a strut bar, but you get what you pay for.

Have to pay to play lol, it's not the cheapest bar out but it's Cusco which is a hign end brand. This might be the cheapest you can buy this bar also from that site.

Nice...I'm waiting for mine to come in. I ordered the gunmetal one but they didn't have it, so the shop ordered the red one instead and upon arrival it was broken so I'm still waiting for the gunmetal. I think I'm going to have them order me the red one now though since I'll be changing the spark plug wires to red NGK's.

are the megan bars and others that are adjustable really effective? When I put on my neuspeed bar I had to jack up one side and it fit very tight. I dunno if the comptech one is better but this one feels real good. And combined with the rear 22mm comptech sway and coilovers the car will feel real good.

No they are not interchangeable between the coupe and sedan. If you look closely...the v6 motor sits higher and closer to the back firewall. With that in mind, the Eibach i4 strut bar actually flares out towards the middle while the Eibach's v6 bar is straight all the way across allowing it to clear the motor.

Well, it required wacking with a rubber mallet, also experimenting with jacking one side up..its not hard, but its a little more involved than "place it in the engine bay, then screw it down"

Hey guys,

I just bought an Eibach I4 strut bar, and I'm having problems fitting it. Even with the bar off, but the brackets mounted - the hood doesn't clear, it won't shut!

It closes, but does not shut when you slam it and if I try harder it will bend my hood. I don't get this because my friend has the identical bar on his I4..

Looking from a side profile of the car, the bracket sticks up above the fender for some reason and causes the hood to hit it preventing it from shutting.

It's really aggravating considering I just paid $100 for it and expected it to fit perfectly, which it did, but the hood doesn't close.. :confused:

Any help and suggestions would be appreciated. I may have to resort to buying hood spacers to get it to clear.. Which wouldn't be totally bad since I need to cool down my engine bay anyways due to snail action. ;)

honestly didnt notice too much of a change. i only swap bars because i got deals i couldnt pass up. there was a great deal on the eibach bar so i got it, then i got a good deal on the comptech so i got that.
