so i've been in the US for about 8~9 years got all my immigration thing taken care i would have not gotten this done but since they raised the price on applying for US citizenship to 800 bucks:eek: my parents wanted me to, and what sucks is that i turned 18 the day they became citizen so i couldn't and they wanted me to apply and go thur the process...
so now i'm going to some random place 6 in the morning and raise my hand and repeat what someone says to "officially" become a US citizen, the governor is gonna be there and some other "important" government officials..
woohoo now i can vote and serve on the jury, and get me a US passport etc.... :p

actually US can take it back from you... on some criminal offense cases, they can deport you...
Honestly beside having the "right to vote" what else is really your advantage? health care?

To correct a common misconception, there is no right to vote. SIRSIG, I wasn't sure if your quotation marks were meant to show facetiousness, but I wanted to clear it up.
Big time congrats! It warms my heart to see that people actually want to live in this great country. Apparently not everyone (http://newsbusters.org/blogs/brent-baker/2008/06/01/if-mccain-wins-sarandon-threatens-promises-leave-u-s) shares my sentiment.

Yes yes yes, Congrats! I couldn't imagine the feeling of getting that kind of weight off your chest.Friday night, however, FNC's Bret Baier noted in the “Grapevine” segment on Special Report with Brit Hume, that “celebrities in the past do not have a stellar track record of making good on threats to flee if their candidate loses.”
Baier recalled how “numerous stars vowed to pack up if George W. Bush won the 2000 election, including Barbara Streisand, Martin Sheen, Alec Baldwin and even Sarandon's long-time boyfriend Tim Robbins,” but “all still currently reside here in the U.S.”
We can always hold up hope Sarandon will break the trend.
They can all go as far as I'm concerned. Don't let the door hit you on the way out either. http://www.acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/finger.gif http://gridironfans.com/forums/images/smilies/nfl-fans/gtfo.gif

hahaha i don't even know much about politics.. lol maybe its time.:o
yea i can't run for president, not that much benefits but i do get a US passport which is a lot easier for me to go places and stay for 90 days
i wanted to keep my green card but they didn't go for it. they just tossed it in the trash proly have some special disposal process
the test wasn't that hard.. its just 3 verbal questions about the history capital, how many states, what the stripes mean on the flag, who wrote the national anthem etc.. , and then you had to write this weird sentence that the person says lol
