Hello,

I kept breaking the top motor near the power steering pump on my 6th gen V6 accord.
This only happend after I installed my 6spd trans, however, I have heard of guys with just the SC break them too.

Since I couldn't find mount inserts I made my own!

1. Buy the new mount or completely remove your unbroken old one.

2. Go to your local plastics store and buy the hardest polyurethane you can. It will have the poly and the hardener and shouldnt cost you more than 20.00 so dont buy too much.

3. Use a condom or plastic wrap seal one end of the mount. The mount is circular. Lay it on it's side and cover the side that is facing up at you.

4. Mix 1/4 of your hardener and poly according the the instructions. You might need a small balance scale.

5. Turn the mount over so the sealed side is on the table and the open side facing you.

6. Pour a small amount of the mixed poly into the mount. Just enough to fill up about 1 inch of the mount. Let it dry.

7. After the bottom dries mix the rest of your hardener and poly and fill the mount up.

8. Let it dry and then good luck removing the plastic or condom form the mount. If you use a condom tie up the end so the poly doesnt run out into it. Plastic works better if you got it.

I'll post pics later of the finished mount installed already sorry.

Look for a plastics store in your area or try a hobbie shop. I dont have any pics cos my DC broke. But it is simple. You know what mount I am talking about right? just seal off one side of it and dump your urethane inside 1/4 ways when it starts to dry pur in the rest filling it up.

Just look at it. If the rubber is separated and torn then its bad. You will also hear and feel the motor banging around.
