Well i've seen the different versions of them. I bought the PlasmaGlow LED version and it sucked balls so i returned it...I've seen the LiteGlow's and Half the LED's are dim or off and this was at the Last SEMA show....I've seen APC's and its still crap just like the others...The only one i've liked is Varad's undercar lighting kit...since they were the first ones to come out with them and since they are known for their superior quality and brightest LED's. I have pics of my undercar lighting kit in my webshots folder (link should be in my sig). Right now i have taken them off for some prototype lighting under the car and soon will be taking those off for their newer version undercar lighting kits. The only problem i had about Varad's kits was that they were too spoty. But the new versions will eliminate that problem and infact will be brighter than the previous version.
The big thing bout Varad's undercar lighting kits is that they use polycarbonate plastic to encase the LED's. I can bend the bar into an L shape and it still wont break. so that eliminates any install problems and durability problems like ALL the neon tubes have. Another cool thing is that well if you check out the site at www.varad.com , that they have scaning action (among other things) which is pretty cool. They have like 8 different patterns in that mode then theres also a Dimmer setting which is divided into 4 different intensities. Then theres a Chase mode which is similar to the Scan mode. But my favorite is the Music Reactor mode which is just Kick ass. They dont use microphones or nething. You just get a wire and connect it to one of ur speakers and then your set. You can adjust the settings to have it hit the high mids or lows. Sure i'm kinda onesided cuz i work with Varad periodically but i've seen all the others since and trust me Varad is like 20 x better than the rest. You can check the site out. They are going to remake the site. so far they have the intro ready and should be updating the main site. But you'll see what i mean by "scanning" in the intro....
Opps as far as brightness is concerend and this is only for the Varad Kits cuz they other LED kits arent nearly as bright... the brightness is for now as bright as Neon. The new versions will be brighter than neon. Now its what the LED kit can do verses the neon kit. Neon cant touch the LED kits just because it cant scan or STROBE or Dim or Last as long as LED's can.....If you have any more questions then just ask. Again the site is www.Varad.com

They are pretty ez to install. One because they are Hella light and if you drop it who cares atleast you can pick it up and put it on the car knowing it will work =) www.thezeb.com is prolly the best place online to buy it. I wouldnt buy from Ebay cuz it will null warranty. IF your getting red then damn its gunna be brighter than my blue haha....Red is the brightest set we have....
Few install tips are to make sure that when u hookup the wires to the box make sure none of them are crossing and should be in the block all the way till u cant see ne more wire...if it's too long then you will have to cut some more bare wire till its perfect. I say this because you can short the controller which i have done once...Currently this problem is being fixed but i just want to emphaze that make sure you install it clean...and enjoy the kit...well worth it...
I cant make any release dates for the new kits because they are getting ready to release the next gen Scanners so they are just buzy with that.
Ohyea haha...One of the guys we sponsered went to a StreetGlow Glow off and he had nothing but Varad Lighting in his car from the ILK's, Hyperled bars inside and the Underbody lighting kit. He got first place hahaha at a Street Glow competition....newayz i thought it was funny if you have any more questions bout installs or product info or nething else just holla...peace
