Does anyone know the part number for the Hel'ms service manual for the 6th generation AV6 sedan?? Specifically 1999??
I found the following on their website but I don't know if the L4 refers to the 4 cylinder somehow or if it's for all sedans including AV6s??

Thank you in advance.

I was told the V6 supplement only gives background information and the one with all the installation tips and service information is the service manual. Am I getting anything more with the service manual because it costs 70$ as opposed to the 40$ for the supplement.

So this manual covers both the V6 and the I4 and covers all the instructions and details on transmission flud change and brake parts change and all that, right?

The L4 one will cover brake work - I'm not sure which one has the tranny work, I'll check for you when I get a chance - I've got them both, that's the only right way.

So you got both the
1) 1998-2001 Accord 2/4 Door V6 Supplement ($40) and
2) 1998-2002 Accord 2/4-DOOR L4 Service Manual ($70) ?
And both of these manual covers the V6 engine, correct?
And the second one is all we need for maintenance, correct?
Thanks in advance.

I wanted to get a shop manual, also. And I didn't know there was a difference. I am trying to learn everything that I can about my '99 AV6. Where can i find what I need?
thanks

Yes I have both. The L4 does NOT cover the V6 engine and related parts at all!!! That's why you need both. And yes, the $120 total cost is steep, but it's less than one dealer visit if you screw up because you didn't know how to do something properly.

Well, does the V6 supplement cover engine oil change, transmission fluid change and brake work for the V6? or all those found on the L4 service manual?

The Haynes Accord 98-99 manual is great for the price ($15). It is even helpful for 00-02 Accords. The Chilton's 96-00 Accord/Prelude manual sucks don't get it.

I agree - the Chilton's is really bad. it's all super general, with many sections not even completed. I'll have to pick up a Haynes one of these days.

Last time:
Would you guys recommend the V6 supplement manual for my DIY jobs or the L4 manual book ($70)?
I just want one since I can't afford two.

Well, you're outta luck. The L4 will have brake info, the V6 will have the engine/tranny info (all assuming you have a V6).
Check eBay, sometimes you can find them on there and save some cash.

Does the V6 supplement have info about taking parts out such as the front passenger seats, rotor job, a/c change and all the V6 engine parts?
can you tell me more specifically what is not included in the V6 that is only included in the L4 manual?
THanks Sam.
edit: Check your PM.

Hey, can you e-mail me? I've got PM shut off since I never check it, and then people get pissed since I never reply.
