What the hell does Type R mean and why do so many people have these emblems on thier rice. Also saw a Sentra that had a Type R or S (cant remember, old age). Tell me what to beware of.

What is with that crap? Someone should start going around and ripping these badges off their cars. :) It is actually kinda funny to see the poor dumb bastards that are sitting behind the wheel pimpin' their rides.

I've been tempted to take my WRX badge off my car so that I can be mistaken for a lowly RS... Then again the loud BOV and whistle of the turbo might give me away...

Basically Type R's are limited production special edition cars from Honda. Integra Type R, Accord Type R, Civic Type R... These cars are factory tuned in every aspect of performance with less luxury. Only type R that US ever got was Integra Type R from 97-01.
Ppl put Type R badges on cuz it looks cool but really... it's pathetic
:banghead:
Real Type R's are awesome though :shock2:

The 2003 NSX-R (Japan only) makes me  buckets :D .
More and more sources are saying that the Civic-R and RSX-R will in fact be coming here within the next year. My guess is that Acura might just bring the NSX-R along with them :D .

I heard that only the civic-R will be coming over here. As for the NSX, isn't this the last production year for those? I thought they were coming out with a new and improved high end sports car for the US.

I saw an accord v6 with an acura badge on the back, and a TYPE S badge instead of the v6 - looked pretty stupid - like "Hi! I didn't have the extra $10K to buy the CL/TL so I hadta settle for the accord w. badges instead" :p :p :p

I'm in. We can get little tickets and leave them on cars in parking lots. Also, at stop lights we can get out and hand them to the dumbf*ck that has this crap :) Imagine the looks on their faces. :)

Just so no one gets the wrong idea... A lot of Japanese manufacturers have a Type R... Subaru has a Type RA and a Type R... Different being that the RA is a 4 door. =)
Oh.. and yes.. my "RFL" BOV lives up to it's name.

F that dude. I like the type-S badge on a accord instead of a v6 emblem. It in no way implys the person couldnt afford a c/tl. I personally dont like the CL at all, the TL is cool but Id rather have a 4dr 98-99 accord with a type-S drivetrain. I just think the accord looks better.
