2. We listen to our members, and we get it done. Here is the much anticipated dyno with CL-S Cam + Unichip.... 245.8bhp/226.5tq (complete NA setup... )
* Note - this is crank HP, considering 22% transmission lost, we're looking at 191.72whp/176.67tq..
brex - wth, more than 7gen v6? and look at that torque!! omg... its producing more at crank than 7gen... !!

3. Many members have asked if Unichip is capable adjust VTEC engagement point.. of course it can! Below please find R&D result from Unichip...

http://www.v6performance.net/gallery/data/500/6365VTEC_Comparison_CL-S_cam_Gen_6_Accord_Modified.jpg

~ FURTHER EXPLANATION FROM JACK@UNICHIP ~

Per your request, we did some testing to look at the benefits of moving the VTEC in a CL-S cam equipped Gen 6 Accord. This chart represents the results. As previously stated, we can move the VTEC anywhere.

For this evaluation, we turned VTEC “on” and did several runs. Then we turned VTEC “off” and did several runs. Results from those runs are plotted in this chart against a “standard” pull to show what impact the changes have. The Red plots represent a standard VTEC setting with the Unichip installed. The Orange plots shows performance with VTEC always on (transition at 1000 rpm); low rpm performance suffers dramatically, but when the engine accelerates to ~ 4200 rpm the cam performs as designed. The Green plot shows performance with VTEC always off (transition at 6000 rpm); the engine intially runs great since that’s where the cam profile is optimim, but as the engine accelerates through ~ 3500 rpm, performance falls off significantly.

Can the VTEC be moved? Yes, it can be moved anywhere in the rpm band... a few rpm in one direction or the other, or all the way to idle or not until redline. Is there a potential power gain, perhaps a small one. Is it significant, no.

The stock transition is positioned pretty much where it needs to be. To compare the significance of a potential change, the blue line represents Torque without the Unichip. Note the maximum difference in the transition area available by playing with VTEC is less than half the difference gained by adding the Unichip in the first place, and is limited to a very narrow rpm band.

4. For those concerned about meeting and passing your state's smog and emission standards, not to worry!!. Here's why . . .

Smog test with the UniChip done at a California State Run Facility, which is the hardest and most stringent emissions test to pass in the world. My car is running the Comptech SC, Comptech Headers, V6P ground wire kit, stock cat, 2.5” single pipe exhaust, and Magnaflow muffler. Running 8psi of boost with the UniChip the car is laying down 259whp. I passed emissions running 8psi of boost.

For complete dyno chart on Garret's car, please click here (http://www.v6performance.net/forums/showpost.php?p=469693&postcount=11).

For complete story on his SMOG testing experience, please click here (http://www.v6performance.net/forums/showpost.php?p=496484&postcount=443).

Here is the SMOG result...

As every V6P.net member can see we have done a thorough R&D on the Unichip plug & play system, and provided a very extensive technical data presentation, and presently is providing the product a a very reasonable price. V6P.net has done its part, now we would appreciate those who participated in the Unichip product poll to do their part. . . V6P.net has plenty of other new v6 products on its wish list to R&D like the v6 headers, J-pipe, and 7th Gen Unichip, however we need to sell the remaining 6th Gen Unichips in order to continue. . .

Thanks for your timely support,
Maurice

lol.. it will DEFINITELY ENDS by October 31st. Once SEMA starts.. we are not allow to sell at this cheap anymore..

If you want one "eventually".. don't wait.. get it now.. for two reasons
1. we might not sell it anymore after initial 50 units depleted..
2. we might just sell to those that had orderd before oct 31.. we do have 50 units quota to meet, but v6p might simply choose not to carry such financial burden and return the extra units back to Unichip.. (yes, we most likely will get penalized but its better than few members here going broke to carry the wish of its members)...

so.. like i say, buy it now.. for your own sake.. and for helping the site...

I have heard it is being worked on already.. but I can't confirm that.. v6p.net being the official factory rep, we can certainly sell any application that Unichip supports.. (even application for Porsche.. )

hmm.. why? none of your upgrades can actually gives you as much gain as it could have without Unichip... I say get the Unichip first, then the mod..

Besides.. Unichip are supported by its manufacture.. each level of mod has its own map r&d by Unichip to give maximum gain possible.. simply re-map it when you reach new level of mod group to get maximum effect... you also get one free re-map when you order now..

So, if I plan on ordering on say Nov. 2nd, because that is when I get paid. It will be too lateto get the intro price? If that is the case then I have changed my mind about the UniChip.

yes, unfortunately, v6p is bound by Unichip and its market and pricing strategy.. once Sema starts, we can't sell it this low..

that being said.. you should contact Dizzy, or Maurice and see if some deal can be worked out.. ;)

i would buy it now, but u have to understand, we arent rich. i gatta pay bills and school. if i was rich then i'd buy every product u are selling. but i aint rich so thats not gonna happen. i have to tkae it slow. i got bills man. ive had my car 2 years and all i done is intake and subs and rims. i mean i really appriciate that v6p is doing this for the members but some of us are broke and cant afford it. thats y we gatta save and save then finally get it. wen u guys say that this will end and u might send the rest back cuz no one will buy it, well sorry about that but our bills are important. i'd rather be horsepower-less then homeless.
sorry i'm not trying to be rude but u making it sound like we, the members arent doing anything and that we should buy everything that v6p sells.
i suport v6p. i have the knobs and the locks and the decal and the connectors (even tho i've been banned before, even tho it wasnt my fault) i still bought it, y?? cuz i love this site and the things u guys do for us. and right now, i'm gonna buy the ground wires, again y?? cuz i love this site and the members. but u gatta give us time. we dont have that kind of money to just give. 1 or 2 hundred is ok for me but 6-7 is not plus 100 to remap it.
sorry about my long email. i dont mean to take it out on u.
i still am, was and will be a loyal v6p member, no matter how many times they ban me (even if not my fault) :rolleye2:

Wow.. you're getting me wrong completely.. lol, let's step back a bit..

basically, v6p is not the one setting the price nor deciding the dead line.. it is Unichip.. in fact, V6P had pushed the special pricing dead line again, and again (since early Sept).. until the furthest that we're allow by Unichip.. once Unichip announce the new product during SEMA.. its end of special pricing.. !! Unichip wasw only willing to offer V6P this special pricing and advance purchase, why? because we're the partner and our members are the volunteers that helped to make this product a reality..

I thank you for supporting v6p and buying other products.. any bit of help from members like you allow the site to continue to operate and stay afloat.. same thing with Unichip.. if you can buy it now - great; if you can't, well we will just have to see later if we're allow to sell special pricing again..
