Ok i installed the alterstart 180 amp altenator it came with the smaller pulley so i also installed the 46in belt. My problem now is that whenever the tranmission is in park or neutral my revs go to about 2000 then fall back down to 1100 and it keeps repeating itself. In reverse and drive there are no problems. Do i need to reset the ECU? What is wrong? Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Also is it normal for my car to idle at 1100 rpm after i installed the alterstart alternator? Should i just have swapped out the pulley with the original one? ARRRRRRR too many problems with my car

Hold up, yours came with a pully..my alterstart alternator never came with it. Maybe they just started to include it. I did by mine almost 2 years ago when I upgrade my stereo system, etc. I am currently using the UR alt. pulley and no idle problems here.

I got my alt from alterstart too. I picked up the 4 cyl model and they included an upgraded power wire for it. Thing is i looked to install it and i have to take apart all the engines wireing to hook it up...and i know i have to hook it up to the fuse box but cant figure out what needs to be done...anyonen have any help?
