My latest little project.... with PICS!!! 4way Active with Seas Lotus, DLS, ID, Tru
For a while, I was working 7 days a week but I finally quit my weekend job in July allowing me to get started on some things I wanted to do for my ride. I started this little project for last week's meet and completed about 90% of it.... but got dropped backed down when I got a flat tire on my way over there. The amp rack got torn apart and a lot of things got scratched up. It took me 6 days to get this all in. A lot of work went down the drain.
![]() Here are the initial pics of the set up. The amp rack has 2 amp rows that are stacked... so the ID Max had to be angled up to clear the amp rack. I glassed a box so that it'll hang over just enough to clear 2 DLS amps (a1 and a6) and 1 Tru Technology 4.100. ![]() ![]() Initially, I wanted 8" drivers in the my doors but ended up using double Lotus Performance midbasses in each. This was also glassed with baffles as well. Both mids are IB'ed with the doors deadened. Each door panels are covered in black vinyl. The kicks are housing Lotus Reference 4" midrange and 1" tweeter. ![]() ![]() At this point, I'm still trying to clean it up and haven't really had a chance to tune any of it. But stay tuned though.... (no pun intended) It's a 4 way active set up with an Alpine h700. The Tweeters are running off the DLS A1 and the rest of the midrange and midbass speakers are running of the Tru 4.100. The A6 is powering the ID Max. Here are the build up pics... http://www.sounddomain.com/ride/2431415 Let me know what you guys think so far. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Vestax; August 16th, 2006 at 12:09 PM.. |
