5th Gen 4cyl Handling????

I recently picked up a 1994 Accord LX sedan 5sp.

I was previously driving a 92 Acura Legend and while Im not goin to brag or boast, but it handled much better.

The legend sat too low and would drag over just about anything. I would like to avoid doing any hardcore ssuspension work, but is there any thing else I can do to make it handle much better? Will the cheap strut bars help much? Is there another car I can take swaybars off of that will be an upgrade?

As far as wheels go, Im trying to lose the 14in steel rims and atleast get some factory 16s.

Also, any cheap mods worth a darn performance wise? The car has around 105k and I have already done a complete tune up, plugs, wires, filters, etc. Anything else? Do the CAI intakes help much or do you loose too much torque? What about the short rams?

Any basic help would be appriciated as I am new to this whole 4 banger thing. Also, any other forums you suggest I look at? Let me know, Tim

Thats real interesting, cuz my dad has a 95 Legend, and I think that the Legend handles like the Queen Mary compared to my Accord, and I don't have ANY suspension stuff done at all.

But yea, I hear that strut and sway bars do actually make a big improvement in handling, even cheap ones.

And a CAI might add a tiny bit of performance, but the biggest change is it makes your car sound 34345r21 times meaner

btw, welcome, and enjoy your stay

Cheap suspension stuff will usually not add anything in the way of performance for your car.
If you want to tune the suspension a bit more and want to spend some monkey money you can buy front and rear sway bars from suspension techniques and that will help ur handling and body roll a bit. For strut bars, dont get them.......they wont do anything except look pretty and run you out of money.
FOr intake? Just take off the resonator and punch ur airbox out a bit. You wont lose any money, you will gain a bit of performance (if you count getting about 2-3 hp back a gain) and your car will sound a bit meaner. CAI will cause you to lose torque but your high end will be a bit improved. A short ram intake will sound louder and you wont lose torque but your top end may suffer from warmer air. You can take swaybars off a totalled EX accord years 94-97 as I am actually getting rid of mine soon anyway.
Wheels? You can get some nice prices from rdmwheels.com
