ya mine also brightens and dims at random times. At first i thought it was because of my sub, but for the last few weeks the lights have been going stong. Oh yaaaa, also if you have ben reading some of my other posts you know i complained that my projectors dont put out as much light as my stock headlights, could they be dimmed because my sub drains power from my stock battery?

highly doubt it, projectors are known to give out less output

Its possible that the alternator isnt supplying enough current to run the extra accesaries and charge the battery at the same time. Have your alternator checked for proper current output.

Another way to check it on your own is to use a volt meter. With out the car running a good battery should read +/- 13 volts. With the car running and the alternator supplying current the battery should read +/- 14 volts

lights dim when power is being drawn from other sources
if you have your lights on - a/c on high / defroster on / foot on the brake pedal - amp with 10 gauge or less without a cap

your eletrical system will be around 10.5 - 11.9 amps
at optimal our cars are around 14 amps

check your voltage with a 10 $$ walmart voltmeter - you'll see why they dim ...

BTW : capacitors eliminate this issue and are 100-150 $ for 1 farad
