Engine Question

Do we have a DOHC? When I had my valve covers off to paint them, I saw one cam on one side and one on the other. I never thought about it before.. Is this considered DOHC or just two cams..?

We have SOHC engines, 1 cam per bank of cylinders.

I wish

Nope, all current J series engines are SOHC. The only DOHC C series is found in the NSX.

yup, 03+ Accord V6's and all current Honda J-series engiens are still SOHC though, as Plum stated. I would really like to see a DOHC i-VTEC J-series engine. The i-VTEC technology and capabilites is well beyond that of what you can do with SOHC.

i'm sure they're on the making of accord v6 DOHC i-VTEC...during the period of waiting for one if u really want to drive a DOHC i-VTEC why not get a RSX Type S better yet if you got a some more money why not go for a Acura TL (270hp DOHC i-VTEC, i think). almost as strong as NSX and much less expansive.
