get an after market steering wheel w/o air bags, disconect passenger airbag, and remove the light for the srs

otherwise, have a shop look at it. the srs is not something to mess with.

ok, i have the same problem. I had the guy who installed my kit look at it and he said that only honda can get the light off and that basically it means that if i get in an accident the airbags wont deploy.

Also, if we get an aftermarket steering wheel with a smaller circumference will we have tighter steering?

wierd it just turns on by itself. I never touched or install anything. I can reset it by myself and if the light wont come back on then it is fine? I heard that cell phone could set it off.

I was told by the dealer that there is a weight sessor in both the passenger and driver seats. For example, if you put a full backpack or package on the passsenger seat, turn on the vehicle, the light may come on. Remove the object from the seat, and the light goes off. Keep in mind that I have a 2001w/2nd gen air bags your 95 may have first gen air bags(not sure of that). You are right about a cell phone setting the light off.

The smaller steering wheel will tighten steering some. But it is hardly noticeable. We have power steering so that does all the work.

find ur MES (memory erase something...) connector. It should be near the cabin fuse box. It is yellow and has two terminals.

1. short the terminals
2. turn keys to ON and wait for srs light to go off and unshort it
3. once the srs light is off, short it again and unshort. After that, the light should blinks twice and ur done.

shorting and unshorting should be done within 4 sec. don't wait too long

shorting is connecting the two terminal together via wires. Unshorting is disconecting the wires.
