need new calipers

OK so i want to change both front calipers on my 96 av6. I called a guy from whom i get my parts for cheap. He said that there are 2 different brake systems for the 96 av6. I dont know much about the system, so when he asked me which one i had, i was confused, because i have no clue. Any suggestions?

he's prolly talking about all disk or front disk and rear drums. I don't think the front brakes differ on them. I could be way off though.

he wasnt talkin about drums and brakes. He was talking about the manufacturer of the brake system itself. He said there were 2 listed possibilities for my car. One was nissin (or nissan, couldnt understand what he was sayin), and i forgot the second company he said.

your mechanic is on crack
bring your car to another garage

95-97 accord V6 brakes are all the same
he may be speaking about OE jobber brake systems

if you install jobber, get ready for warping discs within a year
get honda disc replacements, they are worth the money and last forever

You mechanic was talking bout Nissin brake & Akebono brake. Those were use for the 4-banger not for the V6, they wont fit. Use the 94-97 Wagon calipers, they are the same one used for our V6. Tell your mechianic that you have a wagon.
