something wrong with me engine?

every once in a while, after i turn off my engine, i hear a loud fan noise coming from my engine. is this normal? i know it's not because of overheating because i check the temp gauge once in a while and its always halfway towards the cold side.

If its hot outside or if you run it hot enough, those fans will kick on to help the cool down process. thats normal, nothing to worry about.

temp is under the half way mark, so the engine is cool
oil was just changed 2 days ago

thought it was the radiator switch, but it is not.....it has to do w/ the cooling fan i guess but those two are not one and the same
it will only stop when i disconnect it....any other suggestions? relay?

take it to a mechanic must be a relay somewhere that wont turn it off when its cooled down enough to trigger the switch off (engine temp sensor?)

it sounds like you still have an eletrical problem
check all grounds and make sure that if he says the job is done you check it while you're there, since you were there last week at least he will remember what he was facking with

Check your coolant temperature sensor and also the fan relays to make sure they are not broken.

you have an issue with your stereo wiring for sure
there is a constant power feed in the dash ...
you must have crossed a wire because that is the ONLY way to have constant power

does the fan spin fast like if the car is on? or does it spin slower cause the draw is lower ?
I'm sure you have a feed patched into the fan relay or the fan control under the stereo ...
