Unhappy 95 V-6 Diagnostic tool?

I have an ABS sensor thats lit up on my dash and need to get the diagonstic tool to figure out whats wrong? anybody have 1 they are willing to sell? I tried to take it to my mechanic but he was unable to get the correct code to figure it out.

thanks. i was reading that thread also and went last night to autozone, but they could only get the 2 digit code and not the 5 digit OBDII code for me. so im going to try elsewhere to see what the light means.

Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes first. Usually what I do if light pops on the dash is diconnect the battery cable, If after I reconnect the cable and the light pops again then I take it to get the codes pulled

the abs sensor is turning on because there is a problem
could be a sensor malfunctioning, could be air in the brake lines, could be low on oil, could be low on oil pressure in the abs pump ... there are only about 10-12 codes that can be read by the abs sensors

first, do a full brake flush and bleed out the brakes
then see if the sensor still gives an error

have fun, I've had the same issue on my ride for 2 years on and off, It's the last thing on my mind, in fact the car brakes a lot better with the abs off
