What are the fuse rating's on the amps?

Rule of thumb I went with when installing, was add up all the electrical fusing in the car and add some depending on the AWG of power wire.

Ok, what kind of system do you have? What gauge power wire are you running? Is your system 1400 watts RMS, or are you talking PEAK? If not listen to GotVtec, thats the easiest way.

easy rule of thumb, add up the fuses on the amps and anything else connected and without a cap subtract 5%, with a cap add 5%

but if the fuse is too high it's worthless, you want it to be just over the edge of the max your amps can suck, so with the slightest opps the fuse blows and not your amps. I used to pop a 140a fuse every few months, but only on a real hot day, and only with a bass track with real long and drawn out bass. I put a phoenix gold breaker in, so now instead of pissing $5 every time it decides to pop, I just pop the hood, swing the lever back in, and away she goes, but I've only had to reset it once, and that was doing a test fit with my other DX700, I had one DX700 running each of my L7s, woohooo it was obnoxious, little too much for me though.
