need help w/my DIY grill

so i cut out the center part of the grill and all, but there are those holes on the sides and in the middle. i know i have to use bondo to fill them in, but how do i fill these holes in, because if i used bondo right now it wold just drip out. do i just put like duck tape underneath and let the bondo harden? what should i do? osrry if that didnt make sence but i need help!!!

I'm interested in what you did with the grill, the 2001 stock grill is so ugly, and its molded to the bumper, argh.

because of my accident, I've had to go about making yet ANOTHER DIY grill

So i'll post pics of what I did later on when I get home.

But yea, the first time, I used Bondo and it was kinda difficult at first. But you're right...you should use something to help the bondo stay or stick in place. Tape isn't a bad idea, but i'm not sure since i've never tried it.
When I did it, I used some wire mesh that i held in place until the bondo that i applied to it hardened.

This second time around tho, I'm using this molding clay type thing. I think it works easier than bondo since its a putty type substance and you can mold it to whatever shape you want. It also hardens just as hard as bondo, if not harder.

for the amount of time and effort 1 grill takes me, I would probably charge you TOO much than you would want to spend. I now know how ID10T feels about the DIY grills

But yea, here's a pic of the side of the grille filled in with the putty.

You can get the putty at any Autozone or Pepboys. Its usually near all the Bondo.
