RCA interconnects

Ok guys... I'm trying to decide which brand and model of RCA interconnect to purchase. The price range and perceived quality is all over the place. I remember reading an article a few months ago that demonstrated how effective RCA cables are at shielding noise. The experiment used a neon tube transformer as the noise source and an oscilloscope to measure. The cables used were a generic cheapie. Very little noise was induced. However, resistance was not discussed in the article. I was curious, so I compared the resistance of three different 15 ft. RCA cables that were lying around. I don't remember some of the specific values (apoligize in advance), but the results are still interesting. Radio Shack gold plated cable... Less than 1 ohm center pin... much lower resistance shield. Hooker Audio PS... .8 ohm center pin, .8 ohm shield.... Scosche low end cable...1.1 ohm center....much lower shield. Questions: For optimal sq, should the pin and shield resistance be similar? Is it worth paying more for a cable with less resistance (I understand that this is a low current application, so maybe not)? What experience have you guys had? Oh and BTW, I spoke to a guy at Tweeter and he claimed that he could discerne a difference in sq between Monster Cable mid-end and high-end cables. Either he has dog ears or is he's looking for a nice Christmas bonus.

wow amazing the amount of research time you have on your hands ... find any brand triple-shielded RCA cable interconnect.

I bet you that same tweeter guy can discern the difference from a 0.001%THD vs 0.01% THD

LOL....It's the OCD, I can't help it. I don't turn door knobs 12 times or anything like that though.
