i think some of the new ones, not sure, but in my cousin's 02 civic, his speakers are mounted onto a plastic mount and the my need to be unclipped and have the stock speaker broken apart, take it to a local stereo place like circuit city or best buy they might be able to tell u what to do.

Send me your e-mail address and I will forward you the MasterSheets form Crutchfield.

Pretty good instructions. You will need Adobe Acrobat to read since it is in a .pdf file format.

Detailed instructions are your friend!

there's for you will need to take out... 2 in the handle and 2 under the window controls... after the screws are taken out, u need to take the triangle piece out, opposite the side mirrors (it is useful to have the windows down), just tug and it will come out easily... then u need to take out the whole door panel, start from where the triangle piece was and go around...just pull hard (don't worry about any clips breaking because they are vertical screw clips just like the white clips that hold the 6X9 grills) now u will have access to the 6.5 speakers... stick a flathead at the top of the plastic holder and it will come out easily...
