Question about Momo Shift Knob Install

All right guys, I have a question about the installation of a Momo shift knob onto my car (it's a I4 manual). As you may know, the bottom of a stock shift knob is square. The little plastic piece on the top of the stock boot is also square. Since the bottom of the Momo knob is round, won't that look funny when it interfaces the square plastic piece on the top of the stock boot? What am I missing here?

Im reviving this thread from its 4 year haitus!

Anyway, i have the same question. Our OEM shift boot has a plastic insert in the boot so it can "Click" into the OEM shift knob.

I was also thinking that it would look funky seeing how mant aftermarket shift knobs are round.

Is there anyway i can do a shift boot conversion with another OEM Honda/Acura?

Also anyone know if any OEM Honda/Acura shift knobs fit a 2001 coupe 4 cyl?

Eldescrobliv - Good man. I've been checking this thread every day for the last 4 years and finally someone responded!

For the record, I ended up taking the square piece off of the top of the shift boot. Now the opening in the top of the boot "hangs" around the bottom of the shift knob. It looks ok but overall, I'm disappointed in Momo for not addressing this.
