What did you do with that middle section, with the "H" logo on it? Would you be willing to sell it?

well i wanted to paint it white at first, and i gt all the OEM code paint and everything, but i didnt prime it and i didnt get the color i wanted, so i went out and got some krylon (yes krylon i was desprite) it was called Krylon fusion for plastic and then i got some clear coat. i used about 3 coats of each.

im not pleasd at all, im gunna go back to the dealershiop and order a brand new grill and start over on this one cause i like perfection.

Comptech, do you still have the middle piece? If you're willing to sell it, can you send me a pic?

Nice job Comptechjunkie
I agree, the middle hole is probably the MOST difficult to patch up, ESPECIALLY with bondo.
I used some molding clay to fill up the holes, and it was considerably easier.

Here's my DIY grill:

Left hole

Right Hole

I have 2 now. 1 painted in Satin Silver Metallic.
Do you really want it? If I see you at a meet, i'll just give it to you.

haha your too kind

But for reals, my very First DIY grill i made wasn't that great. I kept at it tho and kept revising and touching it up. (sanding, repainting, sanding, repainting)
This is like my 3rd grill I've made, so it was a little bit easier this time around.

And yea, i got the molding clay in the Bondo/Body Filler section. IMO, its way easier than bondo. Not to mention CLEANER

Also, I think you should just redo the one you currently have, instead of buying a whole new one. Just an idea to save money, cause well, isn't that what this whole DIY Project is about?

ryan, im really tempted to give you some cash to do this for me but lets see how davids comes out first its just that once my parents move outta their house into the new apartment, there is no more garage and then when they move to AZ, there is STILL no garage, so i dont have anywhere to even attempt this myself.
