help

ny 6x9's dont fit right. i got pioneer 6x9's and they wont fit. theres like a strut bar type thing thats connected to my trunk and its rubbing the magnets on my 6x9's. shouldi take of the lil dtrut bar looking thing off my trunk?? what should i do?? if anyone is in OC please help

don't take them off..see if you can put a space inbetween the reardash and the speakers...just put the grills back on and see if u can push them up more..if so u can make a spacer for them...

always the problem with those "oversized" magnets on those 6x9s that really doesnt do more than give a speaker more of a "show" look... anyways.. as svp said.. if you can lift the speaker up via a MDF 6x9 spacer.. use the pictoral diagram of the 6x9 cutout to simulate a outline on the mdf.. a simple 1/4" would suffice in this case if it just hits those trunk lid bars..

you can always mount the speakers backward to show off the magnets ha ha ha

just bend the bars
i grabbed them, and pulled hard
i also put friction tape on the bars to stop rattling and rubbing on the magnets
