7th gen clock spring/combination switch?

Has anyone who swapped their steering wheel tried the clock spring from a 7th gen? When I drove my friend's I noticed that his signal and wiper levers were much smoother and quieter than all the 6th gens I've driven. Just wondering if they're swappable. If someone has a 7th gen clock spring laying around, I'd be willing to try and make it fit.

i hate all the new wiper combination switches in new cars

i drove my brothers 350z and was annoyed at how easily it was to accidentally turn on the wipers

I will stick with my loud but clicky 6th gen ones any day of the week

I don't really have a problem with the newer ones. The loud click is really annoying...and I've been on this "silence the interior" spree.
