I think that looks good for those who don't have a shaved or tinted centre piece. It will match all three pieces nicely.

I think it's worth the extra money to use the clear lenses...for the price of the labor involved, it'd be a travesty to use OEM lenses.

When paired with the turn signal and full center bar conversion, I see no other way. The OEM fluted lens fits the vehicle more appropriately, as compared to the appearance of the center bar being clear. If you remove the center and have only the outer tails, they look just fine with a red tinted clear lens, or the OEM fluted.

I, of course strongly prefer a more 'diffused' look, as you may already be aware.

it's not really a money issue, it's more like for peopl who doesnt have shaved trunk. i'm just experimenting something that would work for the people with center tails.

They could swap out the center trunk lens as well couldn't they? The center light's output would still suck compared to the LEDs, but at least the lenses would match.

I think it looks good for the coupes that don't have the "tuner" look. It looks like that's how Honda would've done it from the factory. Very nice, Roger!

they could swap the center lens to clear, but that would look like garbage. lol

the clear lens look would only look good for people with shaved trunk IMO.

if the people doesn't mind the diffused look on OEM lens, then i could go further on the design and mass produce it.

i think if i gap the LEDs more, it'll be more noticeable that there is LEDs in there, rather than just straight line look.

I didn't mean to leave the aftermarket center taillight lens clear, tint/smoke it to match the outer taillights. I guess that would be a hassle for those guys without shaved trunks though, you'd need quite an oven to bake that center light unless you used a heat gun.

i know you didnt mean to leave te center portion clear, but even with the matching tint, it still wouldn't look right ... i think.

i always use heatgun to open them up.

people with shaved trunks could have a similar design to this with LED taillights.

It would look better without the fluting i think, but if the center bar is still fluted it would clash.

I like it, and agree with Viet- it looks like it would come stock, which would be perfect for those wanting a more OEM style.

we probably need a farther picture.. i think if it looks like a normal bulb at a farther distance, its not worth it imo, but if you can still tell they are leds at a farther distance I would probably go this route.

i highly doubt you'll be able to tell with this set-up. maybe if the LEDs were a lil far more from each other, then you'll be abl to tell from far away that it's an LEDs.

Ericspda used to have a video on youtube with his LED conversion and it looked totally badass and he used the OEM tails for the conversion. I want to do this mod to my car but I have no idea how to make LED boards or the connections. But I don't know what happened to that video....

As for the board you made, you did a good job there, but you need to evaluate the look from a different perspective.

this is what i was talking about man. An oem look. If you had pics of the center and L + R tails plus a good brake light. You'll def have a lot of us paying out.

My initial reaction was SWEET!!! Led tails with stock lens as to match the center piece. But after further looking at it, it doesn't look right. The lens needs to be clear just like how you did it on your car.
