I have been shopping for the past three days for seats and I have run across these but for some reason I think its "to good to be true". I really wish that I could see these in person to really take a good look at them. I have finally settled on a set of Sparco Milano's for $725 each plus $400 for the tracks and harnesses. But I havent pulled the trigger yet. I would love to buy these "Mugen STYLE" seats for the obvious reason of the cash I could save. If anybody has seen these in person and can post any opinions, it would be greatly appreciated.
Are these REAL JDM Mugen?

No they're not real JDM Mugen. But it looks good!

That's about the right price for seats that aren't sparco, recaro, or bride. Tenzo seats cost about $250-300 so these Mugen Style are about the right price. But they look a LOT better than tenzo seats!

Having Corbeau A4's(look like sparco torinos) in my car, i'm going to tell you guys the basic low downs of the pain in the ass process of getting brackets to fit with racing seats.

if these dont have a bracket application for the accord, dont even think about having them fit in your car. Having random brackets and holes and screws line up is a complete mess. Also, alot of "reclineable" seats are said to have either "access to the back seat" via adjustment knob, or "flip forward easy access" lever.

Most seats like Corbeau have a flimsy/cheap flip forward lever that does both quick flip and recline. They dont have the nice upper lever like recaro or sparco.

Other seats like these and the Pep boys seats have equally cheap knobs but the knobs do micro adjusting recline. These are nice for sedans or for fine seat adjustment, but if you want to flip them forward, you'll have to turn that knob forever

Sparco torinos and milanos come with the fine adjustment lever, but also a quick flip forward lever on both sides of the seat. Very convenient. Recaro does the same.

Material quality is also a big issue, seriously, with seats you get what you pay for. Personally being a poor college student, I went with a 1/2 reputable brand, Corbeau, being that they were the half way point between cheap fake seats and sparco/recaro.

Corbeau sent me brackets for my car that didnt fit, I was extremely pissed off, and they offered to either take them back, or refer me to an authorized shop to modify the brackets to fit my car(for a price), even though they were supposed to fit in the first place. Having already bought the seats elsewhere for a great price, I didnt have much of a choice but to have the shop custom weld the brackets.

All in all total of brackets were 179 for the pair, plus 120 to custom weld them. The authorized shop did an excellent job though, and the brackets are tough as nails. I dont have experience with recaro or sparco brackets, but I heard that they fit alot better.

I posted pictures a while back, heres a repost just in case anyone hasnt seen em

Hey all. Lots of questions:

1. What the lightest and heavyest racing seat?
2. How much racing seat bracket usually weigh?
3. How much stock leather seat weigh?
4. How much stock seat bracket weigh?

They're actually modeled after the recaro SRD.

"Mugen style" or "TRD style", all just bs to make the seats seem like they would "fit" in the car better. SRD's are great seats, but its the structure, material, and mechanical parts of the seat that cost alot, not the way it looks.

It could be made of paper for all you know, from that picture.

ive been wondering about this, ^
i have a 00 with power, leather, and side airbag, how hard would it be to get the airbag properly disabled, so as not to affect the front ones, has anybody trid to retrofit some CL S seats or S2000 seats. i would imagine these would be easier since they are all Honda, cause ive never heard of anyone taking out power seats and fitting sport seat without bracket problems?. so id ratehr just do a swap.
