PG... but you'll need a bit too much power just to push it nominally... and it's too pricey to begin with.

DA if you're consious about price.

you think ELITE is good?? i mean if they worth the price... then i would get it.... just that i never had a chance to listen to them before....

plus you think my amp is not big enough to push ELITE's???

the sub is running at 1200RMS... but still... ti800.1 will give it about 900w rms.... i don't know....

but have you ever heard of the Elite?? how do they sound, campare with W7 and DA??? those are the only 2 i've heard of.....

i was referring to what you need to push them... the PG's are extremely power hungary and inefficient... The DA's don't need as much power to get them goin.

Elite i think is hands down the best...

We have people who have hit 156db with 2 elites... that's crazy... and the quality build is great also... buy from a dealer and you get lifetime warrenty... period.

if you do manage to underpower and blow these suckers, they also have a available recone kit that basically drops in.... they also make an SPL cone for it...

i know your amp is not big enough to push the elite. without going deep into amps and such... the power supply of an amp has to be able to support the wattage the amp claims... and pushing a normal sub is fine, but when you get into somthing soo demanding and heavy, you're talking trouble... the TI amps have power supplies that are stable to 1ohm (2ohm actually, but it does active regulation at certain loads)

think of it this way... 1 elite is like pushing 4 speakers in terms of power demand...

unbelievable noone mentioned the brahma with the others above. From my personal experience and countless number of times sitting in cars with amp power exceeding 1000watts... it takes a keen ear on certain symphonic passages to really discern the SQ ability of each of those massive subwoofers... and when low octave producing cellos or bass violas... the SPL of all of them is there no question... but alas it does come down to cone control from the driving amp and the suspension balance from a properly configured box. If you're going after a daily driver then hittin 150db.. you wont be feeling so good after a week of driving...

LOL my point is, I guess, as you get into the insane power levels differentiating SPL levels among drivers for use in daily driving really doesnt make a lot of sense.

If your gonna go that route, then your better off waiting for the Xenon amps...

Phoenix Gold. The ones that are replacing the Ti and Tantrum lines.

50% more output devices...
dynamic power limiting can lower the volume ~ 1db at a time to prevent the amp from overheating, driving high loads when needed with smaller power supply's providing ultimately greater overall performance.

this basically means they foud a way to make something inexpensive perform like it costs allot...

1 TI 1200.1 will push 1 to full power even a 1000.2 mono bridged (we had a car hit 150db with 2 elites on one of these) would push it just fine... or if you happen to have an MS1000, then you're set!!!

the spl of these is good... and the bass is nice and full... honestly, the DA speakers will probably be a better buy if you just want SQ... PG might have a slight edge, but at the sacrafice of lots of power demand... I'd buy them strictly to match my amps, and i like the brushed titanium finish... it matches the brushed aluminum dash kit and accents in my car already...

For SQ, nothing beats Focal, and they actually hit pretty hard too with enough power

thanks for everyone's input, but i don't think i gonna touch my setup no more, not going to spend anymore money on my accord, it's gonna go to my S13 (240sx)

so i gonna stay with my solobaric....

http://www.v6performance.net/forums/...threadid=22400

but please let me know what you think of my setup, maybe i will spend a little more to finish it up
thanks

Have to give a nod to the almighty juggernaught as well. Adire, DD, mmats, treo, cadence, kicker, all kinds of toys to play with. Are you going for bling bling or to be competitive? Are you serious about SPL, meaning are you willing to sacrifice SQ for a few extra dB? What kind of budget? Atomic Apocalypse quad coil? Shocker? Memphis? Stroker? It's up to your pockets, and what exactly you're looking for. A single DD9915 in the right box and well built car with enough power will make your eyeballs fall out.

Always have to give a quick shout to elemental for the budget minded.
