Here's a pic of my trunklid.. after I took this pic I ended up putting a bunch more up on the very top of the lid and putting more down the center... you can get the general idea though.

BTW it works great.

Doesn't look like it's up against the metal a lot...... any air gap between the mounting surface and the sound deadener greatly decreases the efficiency of it.

Not hassling you, just pointing it out in case you didn't know.

damn 3 layers.. I doubt the lid even pops up 1/2 an inch
I have one layer with some carpeting on top and the lip pops open about 2 inches and slowly rests.

Probably not as cheap as second skin, but you'll definitely save more than buying dynamat.

I did the entire trunk... about a single layer... the real layering started at the rear parcel shelf and now I'm going to finish the interior by doing the entire floorboard, rear side lining.. and perhaps the roof if I have some leftover.. I picked up the clearance priced second skin for like $70 shipped vs $127 shipped from rammat. Rick is a cool guy... for $70 you get 50ft and for $127 you get 60ft... so it was a no brainer which one to get... or if your loaded go for dynamat extreme $130shipped for 36ft prices quoted from eBay(raamat and dynamat)

Just a couple of questions. If I were to do the whole trunk copartment of my 04 accord coupe with iether dynomat extreme or something else, how much wieght will that add?20,30,40 pound? 2. how effective is the sound deadening in the trunk for icreased bass and decreased road and exaust noise?
Thank-you.

It adds a lot of weight if its dynamat extreme.. I used one bulk pack and in reality could use easily another.. I'd say each pack was around 30lbs.
