Any advice on a DVD player?

I am looking to buy a DVD (without monitor) player that goes under the seat. Any suggestions?

I need it to be under $200, and play DVD-Rs and MP3s and have a vacuum loader and hopefully, it can remember where it was stopped when then engine is turned off (but this is not essential)

I've been looking at Icon, Farenheit and Power Acoustik players, but there are so many different models of each one!! Any help out there??

i have an icon, the indvd5.1, its in dash with 5.1 dolby surroun sound, but i dont have that hooked up now. it is in my third din, and it plays dvd of course, vcd, mp3 cds AND mp3 dvds, it plays all my DVD-Rs that i have, and it has pretty much every feature that home dvd players have. i love it, good price and whatnot.

I'm selling mine for $100. Let me know if you're interested.
It's power Acoustik vacuum load, last position memory and few other features.

Well, I have a nav screen and CH changer in my CL-S that I am feeding my DVD signal to, so there is no room to install a DIN without changing everything. SO this would be a lot easier and cheaper for me

I use a blaupunkt DVD-ME1 I got off of ebay for $120 shipped. It works great. it's funny, if I can't get a disc to work on my $1000 progressive scan dvd player in the house, the me1 will play it. It will play any region, dvd, dvd-r, dvd+r, dvd+rw(dunno about -rw never tried it, but I bet it would work), vcd, svcd, mp3 discs, I've never had a disc not work in it, whether I've burned it, or bought it in the hong kong night market, they always work. Fits under the passengers seat just fine, and I can reach it while driving relatively easily. It fits far enough under the seat it doesn't get kicked either.

here's with the seat forward about 4"s with the seat all teh way back you can't see it at all

and it keeps everyone entertained

People with young kids. I LOVED it till about the 100th time, then I still liked it till about the 200th time, now after a few thousand viewings i could do without it. Although now finding nemo is the kids pick of the month. Ohhhhh how I despise it lol.

The back monitor is a pyle 6.8" and I'm using a universal swivel mount that I rigged to the back of the center console. I put a big steel plate behind the console so it wouldn't rip through the plastic. I'm very happy with the pyle monitor, my front one SUCKS. I have a xenarc 7" touchscreen waiting to go in the front(jsut waiting to finish my mini pc). I'll go out and take some pics of the back mount this weekend for you.
