custom trunk question

Hey guys,
Quick question. I want to finish my trunk by summer time, and I want to have my floor raised a little to have the amps appear under the carpet, and on hinges so I can lift the amp rack up to get to my spare. (In a nutshell) My question is, how do I secure the 'enclosure' to the floor of the trunk? Do I use self tapping screws, or what?

It depends, When I had my little enclosures I used a bolt I found behind the plastic on each side and ran some plumbers strap to the boxes. For the big one i just used some sheetrock screws and some more plumbers strap(the copper stuff with the holes) and secured two sides. If possible use existing bolts, if not make some holes, just look underneath the car first and make sure you don't hit the tank. The box I'm in the middle of building right now I use the screw that was meant for the spare tire(since I'm using the spare tire will and I have AAA )

but your amps are on top of your enclosure, right? I want to do a psudo-false floor. I guess I could just drill into the floor, and you are right, not to hit the tank. It's my luck I would though.

now they are, the old amp rack and two separate sub boxes I had the subs anchored to the sides then the rack anchored to the boxes, and one strap in the front of the rack.
