Problem with system/brake light

OK, I have a weird problem. It's only started happening in the past few weeks, but it happens every day.

When I go out to my car in the morning to go to work, I turn on my car and put the face plate on my stereo, but when I put the e-brake down, the brake light stays on. Then if I turn the car off, turn it back on, and put the e-brake back down, the brake light goes off. I would think it's a wiring problem of some sort, but the weird thing about it is that it happens every day (no matter what time it is that I first start my car), and only once a day. After I turn the car off and back on, and the light goes off, any other time during the day that I use my car, everything is fine... the light doesn't come on.

Anyone have any ideas what's going on? Has this happened to anyone else?

a sticky switch or your ebrake cable isn't taught enough to pull the lever all the way down.

I'll check that out. But if that were the case, then wouldnt the brake light stay on all the time? Not just once in the morning? I dunno.
