How to shave my... bumper!

Hello All

Been a while since I've been on here and I wanted to ask a question about how to tidy up the font end of my UK spec 6th gen coupe. I've noticed a lot of cars in the coupe pix thread that have really clean 'shaved' bumpers in comparison to the UK spec.

I want to remove the headlight wash sprays from the bumper, relocate the number plate, fit foglights, and get it resprayed as it's got a lot of stone chips after a few thousand miles of autobahn blasting. Curse those wide open, no speed limit, German motorways!

I'm okay with how to sort out the filling, respraying, and fitting of foglights but what needs to be done to remove the washers and what number plate holders/adapters would people recommend to move the plate to the centre bottom of the bumper?

Shoot, me either... OP you may want to think about selling that bumper to someone over on this side of the pond... possibly sell it on this site? Im sure you can make enough to buy a US spec bumper, paint it, and buy yourself a steak dinner... You should post a pic or two

Agree'd ^

I bet there is a customer in the US that would snatch your bumper up in a heart beat. Then you just need to get a US spec 6th gen bumper (as honda hadn't started selling the acura TL as the accord in europe or GB yet)

Really? I always thought that the warty looking headlamp washers spoiled the smooth lines of the bumper.

If anyone is interested I'm sure I can work out a way to get them a UK spec bumper with wash sprays. Drop me a line. I'll post a pic or two as soon as I can so you can see what they look like.

I'm going to go ahead with removing the washers, does anyone have a pointer to a technical reference as to what needs to be removed/changed? Or any clues as to where I should research?
