screw or nail the hook side (the harder side) of the velcro to the box. it will hold it if you have a carpeted trunk.

I used a ghetto home depot approach.. cuz I had tried velcro, metal feet, brackets and nothing worked well... so I used nylon tiedowns.. ya know the ones truckers use to tie down stuff on the back of their rigs... It comes with 2 hooks and a nylon strap.. one end of the hook is snagged under the parcel shelf frame.. the nylon strap goes under the box and into a clicking lock mechanism so when you crank it the nylon winds around it and gets tighter... and lastly I hook the other end to another spot under neath the parcel shelf frame...now I keep cranking until I cant crank anymore and the box is facing at about a 35degree angle and is fuggen tight.. with 0 movement... I know it looks ghetto but oh well

never weighed mine, but working in car audio for 7 years previous, it made my back pretty damn strong! had 104lbs worth of speakers not including the weight of the box itself with dynomat and 2 layers of 3/4" MDF.
