aftermarket wheel specs

hey fellas i'm in the market for some wheels but there are some questions bout settings and set ups tha ti got...i am gonna be sittin on eibach sportlines which drops me 2" front and back....will 18" with 40 series work and not rub or anything and also what would the offset i should have for a 2001 av6 sedan??? thanks for all the help guys

+45mm offset will work just fine for your set up

for tires you can go with:
215/45-18 bigger then stock 0.5%
225/40-18 bigger then stock -1.6%
235/40-18 bigger then stock -0.4%

but you need to remember:
215mm tire will fit on 7" wide rim
225mm tire will fit on 7.5" wide rim
235mm tire will fit on 8" wide rim

wiil not, with +45mm or higher offset

so get a +45mm offset and not a - offset? what would be the difference?
