Indiglo gauges

Hello all. I don't remember if you can recall my questions about indiglo gauges and whether the range of colors were determined by the material of the gauge face or the type of inverter. WELL, I just received an updated digital inverter for my Reverse El Glow gauges, that came with the standard brightness control and the blue/green switch. As it turn out, YES, the material of the gauge face determines the range of color; or at least that is what I discovered. However, I was able to obtain deeper greens and blues with this new inverter (5 step color adjustment), but I was not able to obtain the deep purple color I desired. A lot of the gauges that are "seven color gauges" are the regular indiglo with these "updated" inverters with the digital switch; so I figured that the inverter must produce the color, but it is an association between the material in the gauge face and its interaction with the inverter that determines the color. I don't know if anyone out there wondered about this, but just in case you do...well...case solved...partially. There is a lot I don't understand about these gauges, but I'm still trying to find out how they tick...

reverse gauges shouldn't have different colors, or at least mine don't just red and blue

The electro-luminescence is essentially the full color spectrum between greens and blues, unless the material is tinted another color.
