6th Gen stock deck - aux or CD changer input?

Hi there
For the 6th gen stock 6disk cd deck, is there an aux input? or is there one that is after market that I can add-on? I was thinking of getting an iPod for mp3s...

Possible?

EDIT: ok is there a cd changer input as well? that can be converted? http://www.rcainput.com/Merchant2/me...ategory_Code=H

what do you think of those? and if i use one will I lose my 6disk in dash changer?

No, there is no stock auxiliary input for the 01-02 head units. Not sure if there is an aftermarket alternative though.

Like the man said above, there are no inputs. However, you can get a universal FM modulator which will play any source right through your tuner.

A few aftermarket decks will have inputs, such as Sony, which has auxilary RCA inputs, and JVC, with 3.5 mm stereo inputs.

You can get an adapter which will convert your cd changer input to rca's (aka. low level inputs). There are 2 companies that make them. One is by blitz???? and the other is part honaux???. Do a search you will find it.

You can either get the FM modulator or the casette adaptor. Crutchfield has a nice selection of accessories for the IPod.

so our decks have a cd changer input as well? (it won't disable the in-dash changer though right?)

Just a piece of advice, before going and upgrading your stock deck and spending time and money in the process, you should at least look into aftermarket decks. Around this time of year you can get some pretty great deals on last years model of aftermarket decks, many of which will have an aux input as well as other cool stuff like mp3 capability, equalizer presets, much better sound, not to mention the pretty flashey lights

check out www.thezeb.com

I got my deck there for 180 shipped. when it came out it was 300 at crutchfield.com

hope i was some help

Careful with the decks though. i got a sony deck, with aux inputs, but it turns out they are bus inputs, had to order a $100 XA-300 to use them as an rca input. but it also gave me 2 sets of rca intputs and a *usb* input but it had 3 sets of pre-outs too, so good deal. supposedly lots of sony ddecks require the XA300
