smoked taillights fading

It's fading to a nasty white now with alot of swirl marks. What's te best way I can fix this?

thats what i did when mine was fading..
what kinda paint did you use? the one im using right now seems to beholding out okay..not sure if it faded and if it did only alittle

what should i use to strip it? i used testors tint paint and testor clear coat. guess the clear coat isn't any good.

hmm thats wierd.. my friend used testors red transparent on her celi and hers didnt fade..i thought testors would be okay..

i jus sanded my taillight down to get the tint off

ya it's wierd...it was only bad on one side and overnight it spread to the entire thing.

hmmmm i never had any problems with fading. chipping is another issue though

Testors clear coat seem to not last long. I sealed mine with testers clear coat and it started to chip and peel really bad after a year. I sanded (use a fine grit) off all the paint and used testors candy apple red and sealed it with duplicolor high heat engine enamel, the stuff with cermaic in it...should be able to hold up since it it's meant to be used on engines....

I used Testors Spray Tint with Testors clearcoat the second time, but I think that my first attempt worked better.

thus, i recommend using the testors spray tint with a clearcoat of duplicolor topcoat as well.
