LCD monitors

Hi guys I just recently purchased 2 lcd monitors for my headrests, the monitor doesn't have any buttons or anything on it so I'm just curious how does it works? like how you turn them on and off? is remote the only way?

Thank you

a majority of them turn on automatically when it detects a signal, and other or hooked up by switch, and some by remote

I dont know how that specific alpine work, but if the monitor u get only turns on when it detects a video signal, then just flipping open would not turn on the screen, unless the screen also turns on when its flipped open.
