Kicker 6x9's

I currently have an kenwood hu and kicker 6.x9's that are subs. They hit pretty hard for a basically stock setup but i would like to give them the power they need to really knock. Eventually I would like to upgrade my front speakers but for now i'm not to concerned about them. What kind of amp and how much power would u guys suggest?

Find out the rms power on them things.. and look for a 2 channel amp that does a little more than that and u should be fine.

What's your amp budget?

i got them online actually about a year or so ago on ubid.com. a seller on there had some kind of deal goin on, it ended up being $110 for both shipped.
excuse my stupidity, but where can i find the rms power, i looked on the actual speakers themself and the only thing i could see was it says 8 ohms. thanx, i know nothing about car stereos. about the amp, i'm willing to spend maybe 200 something bucks for a good one. def. not in the 300 range tho. thanx for the help.

I had that setup for a little bit. Once you give them some juice, they'll hit hard. My advice would be to dynomat the rear dash because it'll rattle like crazy.

try google.com.. search for the kicker 6x9 model number and you'll find some sites that give their RMS power. I'm guessing anything in the range of 90-120watts rms to those things would be ideal. Remember nothing will hit harder than a true subwoofer + enclosure.

kicker did make 6x9 subs two generations ago. They hit decent for their shape, a little sloppy, but that's the nature of 6x9s. I'll see if I can find some links for them. They were single element 6x9"s
