You can just do it straight. Once done just complete it by wasing and cleaning up the junk.

I prefere minty fresh clean. It got the SiFuLao's approval

Yeah just make sure it's not your credit card . I like the H logos on my car so I would never remove them .

I want to replace the V6 badge with an EX badge. Will Bug and Tar Remover work on the leftover adhesive?

Best thing to do is this:

1) Use a hairdryer on hight heat at close range for about 1 minute or two. This will allow the adhesive glue to dry out a little bit.

2) Use strong dental floss, or really soft wire, and slide it behind the emblem. Until you pass through all the way. If need be you can use the string in a "saw" motion, like up and down motion to use the string to gently cut away the glue (dont do this with abrasive wire).

3) Clean up excess glue or residue with a product called "goo one" or other similar adhesive remover. (dont use acetone or other abrasive chemicals that will damage paint surface)

4) Clean area one last time with just regular dishwashin soap and water, and wipe clean.

5) You can leave it as is or go to the next step if you are adding another emblem/decal.

6) Position new emblem/decal with procective covering still on.

7) Once postioned carefully pull away one side of the protective cover, and push it down firmly onto the cars surface, and finish up the rest of the side too in a continue and patient manner.

8) If using a type r emblem, make sure you reset the ecu for the added 18 hp to actually take effect :P

wasn't sure if this was a typo or not, don't use dishwashing soap. It's too harsh for your car. It's proven to strip clear coat and wax.

just use regular car wash soap.

and everything else looks great on this DIY howto. It's pretty much how I did mine too

What is the part number for the V6 emblem kit in black chrome? Cause www.slhondaparts.com has the "black chrome kit, sedan" and then they have the individual emblems like "Black Chrome, FR, 'H'" and the such. Which one do I get???? =[
