40mm offset

i need some help i about to drop my car with a prokit i have some 17x7 with 215/45 with the 40mm offset would that rub my car is a sedan anybody knows thanks????

I did not rub with a 17x7 rims and a 40 offset until I straightend out my camber, then rubbed, front and back. I then purchased rims with a 45 offset. No more rubbing.

Every car is different though.

why did you need to straighted out your camber do i have to do that too???were youre tires wearing uneven.

Yes, the camber for my rear tires was out of spec and wore the insides of my tires. I purchased a camber kit for the rear, but the fron did the same thing also so later I got a kit for the front.

It wore the tires slow, I had them for a year (about 20,000 miles) before they wore down in the inside.

For you, you may or may not need a camber kit as every car is different. You will just have to lower it and see how your tires do. Just be sure to get it aligned after the drop.
