New Boy, help Needed

Hi There Everyone,

Great website, so much information !! I am from the U.K and have a rare Accord V6 coupe 1999, I think there was only a few of these sold.

Anyway the car needs some urgent modifications as at present it handles like a boat !!

I have 18 inch wheels on it at the moment, but the car tramlines all over the place so was thinking of coming down to 17's

Can anyone reccomend a good one stop shop website in the U.S.A, where I can buy all this from, a body kit, suspension products, lexus style rear lights and exhausts ?

I want a nice bodykit, but nothing over the top, and the ride has to be lowered but not to hard, as it will only be for the road. I would like the exhausts to be sporty but not to loud,

All reccomendations are welcome as I really have no idea !!!

Thanks in advance for any help !

Anyway the car needs some urgent modifications as at present it handles like a boat !!

- what you need is to upgrade your suspension set-up. if the handling of your car right now is really bad, then it's possible that your shocks are already blown. if you want to drop your car, but not too extreme ... then you might wanna get the Eibach Prokit ... and for the shock/struts ... Tokico and Koni are really good brands. you also might wanna get a Sway Bars to complete your suspension set-up.

- ever thought of getting la ip kit? it's just an add-on to your current bumpers and it looks clean and not too extreme.

http://www.wingswest.com/
http://www.kaminari.com/

there are few more lip kits like Mugen Style, Type-R Style ... and can't go wrong with the OEM Style.

- for the exhaust ... if you want something deep and not too loud, i would suggest Greddy Evo

BTW ... next time try doing some search on this site because all the info that you need is already in here.

Hi aznfunkyflip

Thanks for your post, Can I use the Eibach Prokit, with the standard springs ?

I have found these two exhaust systems

HERE

HERE

The ractive one is available in the U.K but is $982 but that is a shipped price and there would be no taxes.

I would prefer a 3inch tip, and realyl only the back boxes as I dont think I have much need for the full section.

Where can i get a lip kit from, they sound just what I am after, do you have any websites for them ?

Also What are COILOVERS I can get some RACTIVE coilovers for $200 in the U.K. How do Coilovers differ from normal springs ?

Thanks

Eibach Prokit is actually a SPRING. If you meant if you can use your stock shocks/struts ... i believe you can.

IMO $982 for a Ractive Exhaust is a joke. I don't know how much is the cost of living there in UK and not sure about the shipping cost.

like i said if you want a deep tone and not too loud ... get the GREDDY EVO. i already linked you to their site ... all you gotta do now is do your research.

I believe someone is actually selling one on classified section so you might wanna check that section more often.

here's the link: CLICK HERE!

- i already gave few websites that offer lip kit for our car.

http://www.wingswest.com/
http://www.kaminari.com/

it's your job to do more research for the other lip kit.

PM SOULRACINGcom ... he's a vendor on this site. he might give you a good deal on lip kits.

Also What are COILOVERS I can get some RACTIVE coilovers for $200 in the U.K. How do Coilovers differ from normal springs?

- You really like RACTIVE don't you? lol .. the main difference between Cpilovers and Springs is ...

- Coilover = adjustable
- Springs = non-adjustable

but IMO ... if your car is for daily driving, i would get Springs over Coilover because Coilover is more for Show ... not performance.

IF you really wanna get the best Coilover ... then you might wanna check http://www.tein.com/

Good Luck!

***Please! i'm begging you to do a research on this site before other member start flaming you***

Ok No more questions, so much info on this site, that it was taking me all day to find info, while asking the question, you get straight answers !!

Yes we have the JDM Accord here, but Honda brought a few Accord Coupe's in 1998 - 2001, they hardly sold many as they were the same price as BMW 3 series coupe's, and in the U.K BMW are looked at as executive cars and Honda's are really looked at as ford's ! We have alot of badge snobbery in this country.

Anyway sorry for annoying some of you already !!

- nobody is getting annoyed by your questions ... but it'll be a lot easier for if you use the search engine first and if you didn't find any answer to your question, then make a new thread
