How to clear the amber from your tail lights (01-02 sedans)

Somebody PMed me and asked me how to do this so I'll just post directions here.

Keywords: cleared, tail light, removed, remove, take out, amber

It's pretty easy. All you do is preheat your oven to 300 degrees, once it's heated to 300 degrees, TURN OFF YOUR OVEN! Make sure you take out all the bulbs from your tail lights and that black foamy protective thing too. On the driver side there is also a box type thing, take that out too. Stick your tail lights in the oven for about 15 mins, pull them out (watch out, they'll be hot) and pry it open real quick (don't open it all the way, just enough so you can stick your hand in there and pull out the amber piece) with a flat head screw driver of some sort and pull out the amber piece then close it up right after, then reinstall, and you're finished. Another way of doing it is to actually break the amber piece while it's still inside the tail light and take out all the broken pieces through the bulb hole. But I wouldn't reccomend that.

recap:
1. preheat oven to 300 degreess
2. take out light bulbs from tail light
3. TURN OFF OVEN (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!)
4. put your tail light inside the oven for 15 mins
5. take it out and pry it apart (just enough so you can stick your hand in and pull the amber out) and take off amber piece
6. push it back together as soon as you take out the amber
7. put bulbs back in
8. re-install.

No extra silicone is needed if done right.
